FAQs
Body Text:

What do I need to bring ?
You will need a hat, sunscreen, towel, camera and a healthysense of adventure

Do you supply tackle?
Yes, we supply rods and reels, lip grips, landing net, pliers, measuring mat and digital camera as well as video cameras to capture those once in a lifetime moments.

What if I lose a lure?
All tackle is supplied on a "you lose, you pay" system. We do our best to recover lures but we refuse to climb trees.

Can I keep the fish?
No. Catch, photograph and release only.
Fresh water barra are referred to as Crocodile Dundee food, you can eat them if you were starving, but they taste like sh%t.

Am I guaranteed to catch a fish?
While we do our best, our very best, unfortuneately not everyone will catch a fish. Angler attitude, skill level and luck do play their part.

Where do I meet the guide?
We fish different places depending on local conoditions so we will let you know where to meet the day prior to the trip.

Can I fall out of the canoe or get pulled out by a fish?
Any water sport can be dangerous, however, by following the rules set out by the guide, and letting him set your drag setting, both of these scenarios are extremely unlikely. Common sense and responsible behaviour will see you right.

Can I bring a beer?

Alcohol and watersports are not a good mix, so no beers until the tour is over and we are back on dry land.

How do I pay ?
You can pay for your tour by using your credit card over the phone or correct cash on the day of departure, as our guides don’t carry mobile eftpos or change.

Do I have to book ?
Bookings are essential. You can book via phone or email.

What if it rains?
You will get wet, but remember here in Townsville, the rain isn’t cold, and we tend to get showers more than rain, so they pass over quickly, and most of the time, the rain is a welcome break from the tropical heat of the day.
