Andre Alfonso
Lifelong passionate fisherman, ex pro fisherman and now tour guide.

Andre has long held a belief that it is better to specialise in one area than to know a little about a lot of areas.

Having fished from canoes for over ten years, even competing in the national Whyalla Snapper Competition three times with great success, Andre gets great satisfaction from getting people onto their first barramundi and teaching new tricks to more experienced fisherman.

He says “Over the year, the river sees many changes, from the flooding rains, which wash away the weed beds and Lilly pads, to the initial calm after the flood and then the following seasons, each with its own unique growth of flora. That's not to mention the moon phases. All these things are easy to cater to and adjust one's fishing for, but the reality is that the fishing changes hour by hour, day by day. That is where the challenge begins. It's learning the tricks needed compensate forthese changes that make barra fishing the most rewarding challenge”.

Andre loves canoe fishing and his passion for the sport is really contagious, so be warned, come fish with him and you’ll soon be wanting your own canoe.

Ben Agar [Soon to be an accredited guide]
Ben’s love of fishing is phenomenal, and after a hard days fishing, Ben likes to spend the night fishing too.

Ben's approach to his fishing is more scientific than most and he has a great friendly nature and is more than willing to pass on his knowledge to those that are keen to learn.

Sebastian AKA Freak or Seabass [Soon to be accredited guide]

Only 18 years old, Seabass is one of the most gifted fisherman you will ever see. His ability to read the water, its fresh water flows and currents has seen him catch more barra on his first cast than is believable.

Studying Marine Biology at James Cook University, Seabass really does live and breathe all things fishing. Also a talented photographer, one of his pictures was used as the cover of a European fishing magazine recently (August 2010).
